The second merit list for the admission process of the first year Honours program for the academic year 2023-2024 at the National University is published on 18th April 2024., at 4 PM. You can also check the Honours Admission Result 2nd Merit List, and go to the website link – app1.nu.ac.bd.
The results can be accessed through SMS by typing nu<space>athn<space>roll no and sending it to 16222 from 4 PM on the same day, and also on the admission website (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions and app1.nu.ac.bd) from 9 PM.
It is important to note that students who have been admitted to any educational program in the academic year 2022-2023 and are listed in the first merit list must cancel their previous year’s admission and fill out the final admission form online by 24 April, 2024
Failure to do so due to dual admission will result in the cancellation of their admission and registration for the first year Honours class for the academic year 2023-2024.
Additionally, if a student listed in the first merit list wishes to change their subject, they must select the Yes option in the specific section for subject change in the final admission form.
Subject changes for the students will be made based on merit in the respective college’s subject-specific vacant seats according to the students’ preferred order. Classes for the admitted students in this academic year will commence on May, 2024.

How to View Honours Admission Result
To check your NU Admission Result 2024, you have two options: online or via SMS. Here’s how you can do it:
Online Method:
- Visit the National University Admission Website at www.nu.ac.bd/admissions.
- Navigate to the tab for your specific course (Honours).
- Click on the applicant login link for the course you applied for.
- Enter your admission application roll number and PIN.
- Click on the login button.
- Your NU Honours Admission Result 2024 will be displayed on the dashboard.
SMS Method:
To receive your NU Admission Result 2024 via SMS, follow these steps. Note that standard SMS charges apply.
- Open your messaging/SMS application on your mobile phone.
- Type the following message:

2nd Merit List
This is an urgent notification regarding the 1st and 2nd merit lists, as well as final admission confirmation by the college.
- Subject Chanage Result and 2nd Merit Lists:
- The subject change for students admitted in the 1st merit list and 2nd merit list result is published on April 18, 2024, at 4:00 PM.
- Results will be available through SMS (send ‘nu<space>athn<space>roll no’ to 16222) from 4:00 PM and on the admission website (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions) from 9:00 PM on the same day.
- If any student admitted in the 2nd Merit List was admitted to any educational program in the academic year 2022-2023, they must cancel the previous year’s admission by April 24, 2024.
- Subject change can be requested by selecting the “Yes” option in the specific cell of the final admission form.
- The admission form for the changed subject should be downloaded from April 18, 2024. The admission in the previous subject will be canceled, and the admission in the changed subject will be confirmed by April 28, 2024.
- No fee is required for subject changes.
- Final Admission Process for Students in the 2nd Merit List:
- Date of filling the online admission form for students placed in the 2nd merit list and collecting its print/PDF copy from the National University admission website is from April 18, 2024, to April 21, 2024.
- The registration fee of Rs. 565/- must be paid along with the final admission form by April 29, 2018, through mobile banking or directly as prescribed by the college.
- Final admission confirmation by the college for students placed in the 2nd merit list should be completed by April 21, 2018.
- College authorities must verify all information and photographs displayed in the admission form with the student’s certificate and mark sheet. Any inconsistency should be reported in writing to the Dean, School of Undergraduate Education, without confirming the admission.
NU Honours Admission Result 2024
1st Merit List
The admission process for students placed in the first merit list must be completed according to the following schedule:
- From 18/03/2024 to 01/04/2028 for filling out the online admission form and collecting its print/PDF copy for students placed in the first merit list: Students need to go to the National University’s admission website (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions), click on the Honours Login link under the Applicant Login option, enter the correct roll number and pin, fill out the final admission form, and take a print copy of it.
- from 19/03/2028 to 02/04/2028 for students placed in the first merit list to submit the registration fee of 565 BDT (five hundred sixty-five) either through mobile banking specified by the college or directly to the college:
- 19/03/2024 to 03/04/2024 for colleges to confirm the final admission of students placed in the first merit list. Colleges must verify all information and photos displayed on the admission forms of students admitted from the first merit list (according to the students’ certificates and mark sheets) for the academic year 2023-2024. If any inconsistency or discrepancy in the information or photos on the admission form is found, the college authorities must report the issue in writing to the Dean, School of Undergraduate Studies, without confirming the student’s admission.
- To submit the registration fee set by the National University for students admitted from the first merit list to any branch of Sonali Bank by 15/04/2024 at the rate of 565 BDT (five hundred sixty-five):
- Colleges must log in and click on the Admission Payment Info (Honours) option to download the Pay Slip. The Pay Slip for the academic year 2023-2024 for the Honours “Registration Fee” account number 0218100000134 will include the total amount to be paid, and a print copy of this slip must be taken to the nearest Sonali Bank branch to deposit the fee and collect the receipt.
